Credit Report Repair Software History by: Daood TimazeeThe credit report repair project started back in 1995. During that time, I had just freed myself from the long hours work schedule as a Financial Planner for American Express. I made lots of money as a Financial Planner but I spent little time with my family. My daughter was only 2 years old at the time and the only time I saw her was when she was asleep. Financial Planners work 12 to 15 hours a day. One of the tasks that financial planners perform is to update or repair the credit reports of our clients. Most of my clients wanted to buy the home of their dreams or start a new business after selling or closing the previous business. Business closure often causes a negative history for the owners. The first step in planning for their financial future was to update and repair their credit history. Most of my clients were working professionals that could easily afford to pay the fee of $1500 to $3000 depending on how much credit damage had been done, to update their credit reports. As I was preparing for a career change that would allow me to spend more time with my family, I became interested in computer program development and attended classes at Penn State. One of the things I learned early in programming is that you must know the field to write an effective program so I started developing a special easy-to-use software program that would help the average American consumer to repair their credit report history themselves and save them the high fees that attorneys and financial planners were charging to update and repair credit reports. My first credit report repair program was an instruction manual written in September of 1996. It required the consumer to visit a legal law library in their area and to type the credit report repair letters and personal information themselves. This worked out fine for the people who were willing to do the extra research and typing to achieve their goals. In 1999, the internet was becoming more popular and people were looking for more functional software. This drove me to write a new version of the credit report repair software. This newer version contained the 12 legal form letters that the credit bureaus had to respond to or face Small Claims Court. I also included step-by-step instructions to help people repair their credit reports faster. As time went on, advancements in computer programming required us to re-develop the program language and add more user friendly features to our credit report repair software. We have produced a user friendly version of the credit report repair software that makes it look browser friendly, saves your personal files, and runs on all versions of Microsoft Windows.Visit our web site because we now provide Free Sample credit repair software to help you to begin the process of repairing your credit by showing you how, if you qualify, to get a free credit report, and how to rate your Credit Score (in the same ways done by major banks and finance companies). Reviewing your Credit Score and repairing your reports can save you money by helping you secure lower interest rates. Next, order Credit Repair Software V8.5 which includes a Tool Box of legal form Credit Repair Letters and Credit Repair Instructions. Try our free sample Credit Report Repair Software to help you get started repairing your credit reports now. You should also order the three major Credit Bureau Reports you will need, to help you view and repair your credit history.
The Best Time To Fix Your Credit Is Now by: Darren McLaughlinBy the time you become interested in credit, 2 things have probably already happened:1) Your credit is bad, and has been for sometime2) You want something in life like a new car or house and your poor credit is preventing you from achieving itAt this point, you'll embark on your credit repair journey, and if you persist, you'll end up on a road to ever increasing prosperity. The argument for having good credit is fairly obvious, but I'll briefly reiterate some points: with good credit you can purchase large items at reasonable prices that you could probably not afford otherwise. Very few people are fortunate enough to have the enormous amount of cash it takes to purchase a home. That's why they borrow money from banks. When they have good credit, they get this money on favorable terms, and they can live a relatively opulent lifestyle. With poor credit or no credit, the options you have in life for where you live and what you own are extremely limited. When you decide to repair your credit, you've already made the decision to turn your life around that will end up leading you through current financial crisis and get you to the point where your money is managed well, and you lead the lifestyle you want. How hard is it to repair my own credit? People often think that repairing their credit is tough, or that they need to hire and expensive, specialized professional to do the job for them. This is far from the truth, and in fact, there are laws against companies charging people up-front for any work to repair their credit. Many people choose to skip this effort, and to instead embark on repairing their own credit and this helps them in two ways:1) It makes them really think about what led them to this trouble in the first place. This type of soul-searching is necessary if the person is ever planning on changing the habits that led them to this credit crunch in the same place2) It will teach them the value of credit in a way that won't happen if someone else does the work for them. And the truth of the matter concerning credit repair is: this is not rocket science by any stretch of the imagination. If you can type legible letters and put them in an evelope, stamp them, and take them to your local post office, you are well qualified to repair your own credit. Considering that many credit repair agencies are actually scams, or the ones that do work well may charge very high fees, it's in your own best interest to do the small level of learning required to fix your own credit. The only qualifications you need to repair your credit are: the willingness to learn, the effort to face up to your financial past and change your ways, and the desire to accomplish this task in a persistent manner. The internet is currently the best source of information you can use to repair credits. There are even helpful communities of people who have gone through the process before, repairing their own credit, who can offer you support and insights on your credit repair efforts. The first step towards credit repair is the biggest, but once you've embarked on the journey, the end result is a much better existence than your current one. About The AuthorDarren McLaughlin is the webmaster of Credit-Repair-Forums.com at http://www.credit-repair-forums.com/ are a global self-help credit repair community dedicated to the education of consumers about the use of credit and the repair of bad credit information.

Why "Do It Yourself Credit Repair" Is The Best Option by: Brandon C. HallHaving a good credit rating is one of the essential tools to leading a successful economic life. Although most people don't give their credit reports much thought, good credit allows for many things that are usually taken for granted: credit cards, car rentals, hassle free loans and apartment rentals etc. . . Every time you miss a payment to a creditor, the creditor will report this to a credit bureau, and it will be added to your credit report. If you do this too often, or let loans go into default, you will find yourself needing to engage in credit repair, as you will be consistently turned down for credit cards and most other types of loans. If you turn to the internet or classified ads when beginning your research into credit repair, you'll likely notice many, many offers from companies offering credit repair services. Most of them market themselves aggressively, and claim that they can fix your credit report quickly for a fee. You should be very wary in dealing with these companies - not only are many of them scams, in most cases you can repair your own credit more effectively. It's important to understand that there is nothing a credit repair company can do that you can't do yourself. In other words: even though they may imply so, a credit repair company is not in cahoots with the credit bureau, and cannot get poor marks on your credit rating "erased." What's most likely to happen is that the credit repair company will encourage you to obtain your credit report from the credit bureau, and to challenge negative items on the report. In some cases, credit repair companies will even go so far as to engage in activities of questionable legality. Namely, they will encourage you to start a "new" credit rating through a change of address and banking information. This practice is not legal, nor is it usually effective. A far better approach to credit repair is to do it yourself. If you search online you'll find many sites offering step by step advice - your best bet is to look at advice from a government source or other trusted organization. The best approach is to first obtain your credit report from the bureau. Once you have the report examine it closely, and challenge, in writing, any errors on the report. Only challenge items if there are genuine errors - if your report is error free, you will have to engage in the traditional methods of credit repair. The best way to start is to obtain a secured credit card and use it regularly. In this manner you will be to slowly repair you're credit rating.By being patient and making smart budgeting decisions, you will be able to pay your creditors on time. In doing so you will eventually prove to them that you are suitable for credit. Although credit repair in this way is a slow process, it is the only truly effective one. This do-it-yourself approach will be far more successful in the long run than employing a credit repair company.About The AuthorBrandon C.
Do It Yourself Credit Repair IS a Good Option by: Rob BoirunGenerally, there are many who take their credit report for granted. However, a good credit rating is very essential tool for leading economically successful life. Credit reports allow for many things like credit cards, car rentals, hassle free loans and apartment rentals etc. Each and every time you miss a payment or make default your creditor would report it to the credit bureau and your credit report will be affected. If you continue doing this or let the loans go default you will soon find yourself in a credit mess, your credit and most other types of loan applications will be turned down. You will be required to do some credit repair. If you search the internet or classified ads while researching for credit repair, you will come across many offers from various companies offering credit repair services. Most are aggressively marketed, and claim to fix your credit reports quickly for a fee. You have to act with caution while selecting a company as not only many of them are scams but also you can repair your credit more effectively. This is simply because there is nothing a credit repair company will do that you can do yourself even if they imply so. A credit repair company is not in cahoots with the credit bureaus, and can never get poor marks on your credit rating erased. Mostly what would happen is that the credit repair company would ask you to obtain your credit report from the bureau and then challenge any negative items they find on the report.Sometimes, the credit repair companies will engage in legally questionable activities like, they will ask you to change your address and banking information to start a ?new? credit rating. This is illegal and ineffective. Do it yourself is the mantra for a better credit repair. If you do a quick search online you will find many sites offering systematic and step by step advice. Look out for an advice from a government source or other well trusted organizations.Obtain your credit report from the bureau and examine it closely, challenge in writing any error you find on the report. Challenge only genuine errors, if the report is error free, engage in traditional methods of credit repairs. It would be best to obtain a secured credit and use it regularly. This way, you will slowly and surly improve your credit rating.Be patient and make smart budget decisions. This will enable you to pay your creditors on time. Overtime, you will prove to them that you are genuine and suitable for credit. This process it a rather slow one but it is surly effective. Do it yourself will definitely be far more affective in the long run than choosing a credit repair company.About The AuthorRob Boirun is a writer for http://www.credit-card-source.com.

What You Should Know About Consumer Credit Reports by: John RiversConsumer credit reports are often used by businesses to help them decide whether to lend money or provide other types of benefits to a particular consumer. Credit bureaus provide credit report information on consumers to interested parties, to enable them to assess a person's risk levels or suitability for a loan or other purpose. These consumer credit reports show the status of your credit score including judgments, tax liens, and other credit related information. Your consumer credit report can be accessed very easily, and often at little or no cost. In fact, you are entitled to one free copy a year. Be sure to check your consumer credit report often to ensure that it is accurate. To purchase a copy of your consumer credit report there are a number of contact details that you can use:Equifax call: (800) 997-2493write: Equifax Information Service CenterP.O. Box 740241Atlanta, GA 30374-0241Experian (Formerly TRW) call: (888) 397-3742write: Experian National Consumer Assistance CenterP.O. Box 2104Allen, TX 75013-2104.Trans Union call: (800) 888-4213write: Trans Union Corp. Consumer Disclosure CenterP.O. Box 390Springfield, PA 19064-0390.A copy of your consumer credit report will cost between 8.00 and 11.00 USD. You can also get a free copy of your consumer credit report if you have been turned down for credit in the last two months. If you do have a problem with your consumer credit report you can repair it. Many creditors offer their clients help in cleaning up their consumer credit report. Accurate data, negative or positive cannot be removed legally from a consumer credit report. However if there is incorrect information on your consumer credit report you should know the following:1. You can usually have inaccurate information removed from your credit report at little or no cost by contacting the relevent credit bureau.2.
Credit Repair - How To Deal With A Credit Bureau by: Brandon C. HallHaving good credit is an essential tool in today's economy - it allows you to have a credit card, to obtain car and house loans, and many other conveniences. While you can live without good credit, a bad credit rating will certainly affect you negatively throughout your life. The key to your credit rating lies with a credit bureau. There are a handful of credit bureaus in North America that handle all reports - positive and negative - from creditors to create a credit report specific to you. If you have a poor credit history, you must take steps to engage in credit repair, and one of the first and most essential tools is to learn how to effectively deal with your credit bureau.Credit repair begins with determining which credit bureau holds your file. To do this simply look at any rejection letter from a credit application - the letter, in refusing you credit, will indicate which bureau proved the rating. The next step is to obtain your credit history. Keep in mind that legally it is always free to obtain your credit history if you have recently been denied credit, although many organizations will imply that it is not. The only time you should pay money for a credit report is if you want to receive it instantly, in which case credit bureaus will provide an instant online report for a fee. When dealing with a credit bureau, understand that they are in the business of collection and selling information. For this reason, it is in your interest to never provide them with any information that is not legally necessary. Legally, you only need to provide a credit bureau with your name, social security number and legal address in order to obtain your credit report. The bureaus may request a copy of your social security card, and - if the address they have on file is different from your current one - a copy of something proving your address. Although they may ask for a driver's license to prove your address, send them a copy of a bill showing your address. The reason you want to be cautious when dealing with credit bureaus is that they own many collection agencies, and if you have a credit problem you want to give them as little information as possible with which to harass you with.Once you have received the report, examine it closely for any errors. If anything is in question, send a written request for an investigation to the credit bureau. Legally, the onus is on the credit bureau to document anything on your credit report - if they cannot document it within 30 days, it must be removed. This is the basic strategy of many credit repair companies that charge exorbitant fees: challenge everything negative. In many cases if the negative item is more than a few years old it will be difficult to verify and the item will be removed.By learning to properly deal with a credit bureau you can engage in effective credit repair that other companies change high fees for. By educating yourself as to the legal obligations of the credit bureau, you can, in many cases, repair your own credit quickly and effectively.About The AuthorBrandon C.
Some Steps Towards Credit Repair by: Brandon C. HallCredit is an essential tool to most people's lives. A good credit rating allows for many things that we take for granted: having a credit card, being able to rent property, qualifying for in-store financing etc. . . If you fail to make payments towards a creditor this will affect your credit report collected by your credit bureau, and will make doing the above things difficult if not impossible. When your credit rating becomes poor, you must take steps as soon as possible to repair it. Credit repair can be a slow process, and requires that you build a better credit rating over time. Here are some steps you should take:1) Add accounts to your credit report. If you are denied for credit, you should immediately obtain your credit report from the credit bureau in question. Once you have the report you should examine it closely for errors. In the event that there are no errors, you may find that your credit rating is "poor" not because of outstanding debts, but because you don't have enough of a credit history to inspire a good rating. Many types of credit from smaller organizations are not tracked by credit bureaus. Things like gas-cards or department store cards are not usually on your credit report. As long as the account is verifiable, most credit bureaus will add it to your file. They are not obligated to do so, and thus usually charge a fee for this service. By adding these accounts to your credit report you will establish a better credit rating.2) Credit Counseling. Once you become mired in debt, the process can feed on itself, and it can be difficult to get out of it. If you find yourself having continual problems with your credit repair, you should consider credit counseling. It's important to notice the distinction between a credit counselor and a credit repair company. The former is usually a non-profit service that offers advice and guidance on credit repair, while the latter are for-profit companies of dubious ethics that generally charge fees for steps that you can easily take care of yourself. A good credit counselor will help you make a realistic budget and stick to it, and help you make practical decisions with regards to your outstanding debts.By adding whatever accounts you have in good standing to your credit report, and seeking credit counseling if necessary, you will make headway into your ultimate goal of credit repair. The difficult thing about credit is that it takes a long time to build a good credit rating, and a very short time to destroy it. When your credit rating has been marred you have to understand that there is no quick solution: you will have to build your credit rating again - essentially from scratch. If you avoid the temptations of credit repair companies that promise a quick and easy credit repair for a fee, and think instead of long term changes to your budgeting and spending habits, you will - over time - be successful in credit repair.About The AuthorBrandon C.
Credit Repair - Take Action Now by: Randy RowlesCredit repair is something most people absolutely fear. Many people do not think when it comes to signing on the dotted line to make a purchase by credit card or loan. When the bill comes in, it can be time for credit repair or reduction! Bad debts can ruin your lifestyle and even your health through stress. When it comes to making credit decisions, most individuals are always making assumptions, and nearly all of them assume the most unpleasant. Creditors, debtors, heck, almost everyone today, all base their theories and decisions on assumptions and usually all assumptions, from the beginning of time, have brought about nothing but failure and heart ache. When folks fall short on paying their bills in a timely fashion, many of the credit companies assume that the debtor (the person owing the money) doesn?t have the funds to pay the money owing. Numerous creditors, with the supposition that you aren't able to pay your bills, will usually propose an deal or else even lower the amount owing so that you are able to pay off the debt. This is one step to credit repair. However, it takes ?you? to get in touch with the creditors to let them make them aware your inability to pay. If you have lots of bills on hand and each and every one of the bills are pressing, it makes you feel the need to payoff the debt that benefits you the most of all. After the amount of one bill is paid, you are now able to use that amount from the following paycheck to pay off another one of the bills. When you follow this tactic, it allows you to reduce your bills slowly but surely and so repairing your credit. If you don?t have the funds to repay the entire bill at once, pay the minimum amount so that you are able to carry on applying the technique to the rest. Practically all debtors assume they are in debt and there exists nothing they can do to resolve the problems that plague their lives everyday. Credit Counsellors are more prone to help you to find a way to repair your credit. Credit Counselling is one possible way when you don?t see any other way out yourself. These professionals act closely with you and your creditors, and proceed toward a resolution. This is a certain way to get the creditors off your back and work out an accord with your debts, and reduce the stress level that comes along with undue fiscal burdens. If you have secured loans, it's always most wise to find a way to pay these bills first. Unsecured loans pose a threat that, however, pale in comparison with secured debts. A select few of the nonessential bills can include credit cards. Given that you are accountable for this debt, however, the worst that happens with credit cards is that you loose your privileges. Check your conditions, terms & agreements since a select few credit cards may permit you to pay only the interest portion on the credit cards. This will give you the time you need to find a way for paying the card balance. A few cards can even allow you to pay the minimum balance on the card and allow you to keep the card in your possession. Paying off your debts can be a long process but also a rewarding one. No more late night calls from the bill collectors or even being afraid to answer your phone for fear it is the dreaded creditor on the other end. Having your credit under control can be a huge stress relief making life much happier by providing more peace and harmony.About The AuthorRandy Rowles is a researcher and author.
How to Avoid Credit Repair Complications If You Are A Homeowner by: Keith GlosterAvoiding complications in credit repair is almost as important as getting out of debt. When we have bills that were neglected simply because we didn?t have the money to pay the bills, or else we purchased items instead of paying the bills, we are in debt. If you are considering a Home Equity Loan to get out of your current mortgage?DON'T. Why? Simply because most Home Equity Loans get you deeper in debt and once you are obligated you will find the problem is more complicated than when you applied for the loan.Lenders often target home owners with financial difficulties offering them high interest rates and making them believe it is a solution for debt relief. In most cases, this is where foreclosures come in, or selling homes come into place. The solution is only an option to get you in debt deeper. One solution then is for homeowners to consider the Reverse Mortgage Loans. This type of loan is often used as equity against your home, belongings, and so on. The loan offers a ?cash advance? solution and requires that the owner does not pay on the mortgage until the end of the mortgage term or when the home is sold. Most lenders provide a lump sum advance, a line of credit, or else a monthly installment to the home owners. Some lenders even offer a combination to the homeowners. This is certainly a good solution for repairing your credit, and building your credit to a new future.
How to Avoid Credit Repair Complications If You Are A Homeowner

by: Keith Gloster

Avoiding complications in credit repair is almost as important as getting out of debt. When we have bills that were neglected simply because we didn?t have the money to pay the bills, or else we purchased items instead of paying the bills, we are in debt.

If you are considering a Home Equity Loan to get out of your current mortgage?DON'T. Why? Simply because most Home Equity Loans get you deeper in debt and once you are obligated you will find the problem is more complicated than when you applied for the loan.

Lenders often target home owners with financial difficulties offering them high interest rates and making them believe it is a solution for debt relief.
